Our Story
Three generations of builders.
In the late 1940s, John M Hanna Sr. moved to Jacksonville and started building homes in the Murray Hill area with his brother-in-law. In the 50s he moved to Jacksonville Beach were he started building homes and raising a family. In the early 1980s his son John M Hanna Jr. began his career in construction. Father and son were building homes in Jacksonville and the beaches. They also started doing additions and remodeling. In 1989 John M Hanna Jr. received his Florida Building Contractors License. He went on to start his own company, Hanna Construction Company and in 2006 formed Belmar Contractors, Inc with Joe Soares. In 2012 John M Hanna III joined Belmar and in 2015 his brother, Jason Hanna came on board. Currently, dad and two sons are busy running Belmar contractors. Three years ago, Caitlyn Thompson, joined Belmar Contractors and has become a valued member of our team.
